My Story
At 24 years old, I took a leap of faith and started my own epoxy coatings company after months of learning the industry, developing my skills, and building the confidence to turn my vision into something real.
My journey into the coatings industry began with graduating from the Epoxy School of Tampa, where I gained a strong foundation in epoxy flooring systems and quickly built relationships with fellow students and professionals who shared the same vision and passion for the industry.
After receiving my certification, I continued developing my skills through hands-on, in-depth, on-the-job training. I had the opportunity to work alongside fellow students, established professionals, and my instructor and mentor, gaining valuable experience and learning what it takes to deliver a quality coating system from preparation all the way through the finished product.
That experience helped me make significant progress from the ground up, with nothing more than a vision, a willingness to learn, and the drive to build something bigger than myself.
Where It All Started
My story began in Lawrence, Massachusetts, where I grew up surrounded by an entrepreneurial and hardworking environment.
From a young age, my parents and the adults around me taught me lessons that have stayed with me throughout my life: work hard, pay attention to the details, take care of what you’re responsible for, and do things the right way the first time.
Whether it was school, work, chores, or everyday responsibilities, I was taught to approach everything methodically and with intention. The goal was never simply to get something done. It was to do it properly so it wouldn’t have to be redone a second or third time. That mindset has become a major part of how I approach my work today.
My background comes from hands-on work, including handyman services, surveying in commercial, residential, and DOT-related services, and construction, renovation, and installation-related work.
Those experiences taught me the importance of precision, equipment management, preparation, safety, and attention to detail. Whether working independently or alongside a team, I learned that the quality of the finished product is often determined by the effort and care put in before the final result ever becomes visible. Those principles are now at the foundation of Safe Coatings.
After moving to Florida five years ago, I continued developing my skills, gaining experience, and learning from the people around me. Eventually, I reached a point where I knew it was time to take everything I had learned and build something of my own.

Building Safe Coatings
Starting Safe Coatings as a one-man operation has been both challenging and exciting.
Every day brings something new to learn, and I embrace that. I bring a broad range of hands-on skills, a strong work ethic, technological proficiency, and, most importantly, an optimistic mindset to every project.
From the initial preparation to the final coat, I personally take pride in every detail along the way. I treat every floor as if it were going into my home or personal space.
I believe the difference between an average floor and an exceptional floor is often found in the details that most people never see, that only a contractor would notice.
